The Jacksonville Trip

Mason and I went on an adventure - just the two of us. We flew on an airplane to visit our friends in Jacksonville, FL. Mason was too little to remember the last time he flew on a plane so it was a new experience for him. He was so good in the airport. He took his shoes off and walked through security just like a big guy. On the plane to Houston, he asked me about everything that was happening. Then from Houston to Jacksonville, he proudly gave the sweet girl beside us a play-by-play. We had an exciting week in Florida. Mason's two favorite things we did were feeding the giraffes at the Jacksonville Zoo and going to the beach. The water was less than knee deep for a long way out and he could just run way out in the waves and then run back. While we were riding the train at the zoo, Mason informed me that he was going to take care of animals just like his Unca. Seeing old friends is always fun! On the plane home, we sat over the wing and a little boy Mason's age sat in front of us. The boys talked and shared their toys the whole way to Atlanta. As we were getting ready to land, Mason got so excited watching the "flappers" on the wing move in and out and up and down. SuSu picked us up in Atlanta and we headed to her house for a visit.
