Well, we finally got some of our Mississippi friends to come to Birmingham with us. Sharea, Casey, and Jett came for a visit this past weekend and we had so much fun! We started out with a trip to the McWane Center. Jett and Mason had a blast exploring all the different hands-on activities and even shook hands with a robot. The adults had fun playing too! Then SuSu and Jack cooked a delicious meal and Sarah, Jesse, and Amber came over to eat with all of us. After visiting a while and getting the kids bathed and in bed, Casey, Sharea, Sarah, Rob and I went out on the town. We found a little place on Cobb Lane called The J. Clyde where we sampled all different kinds of beer. It was a pleasant night and we sat at a table on the patio and visited until they closed. On the way home, Casey and Sharea got to experience a late night Mountain Brook Trash Raid and we ended up with a couple of good finds for Jett and Stone. The next morning, SuSu made pancakes and Jett and Mason had fun feeding their dinosuars leaves off of SuSu's plants. To complete our trip we had Davenport's Pizza for lunch followed by dessert from Savage's. I hope we can do it again sometime soon and maybe squeeze in a little shopping.
